The Complete Project
Prior to us arriving, this backyard used to have an old wood deck over an aggregate patio. We worked with the homeowner to design a functional patio space that worked with their existing furniture and a future 4 season porch which hasn’t been built yet. They wanted a fire pit, seat walls for additional seating and room to comfortably accommodate a dining table.
Fire Pit & Eden Stone Seatwall
The fire pit is a main focal point of the backyard and provides warmth while savoring the crisp fresh air in cooler months. The Eden stone seatwall with rock faced bluestone coping provides space for additional guests to relax around the fire pit.
Paver Patio & Existing Pool Deck
We invested time to look at function and grades, making sure the new thermal bluestone patio would work for immediate use and in the long term as well. Care was taken to ensure the patio level worked with the existing pool and pool deck grade.
Plantings, Fence, & Pathway
Plantings, fence, and a new irregular bluestone flagstone path were designed to create an inviting new entrance from the driveway. We gave thought to how these new elements would work with the existing pool house to welcome guests into the backyard.
