A View Of The Complete Project
This homeowner wanted us to create a grill structure and pergola on their paver patio. The existing pool and architecture of the house limited the area we had to work with. We designed a new raised deck that eliminated an outdated and sinking curved set of steps coming out of the kitchen and connected the space to underutilized family room doors.
Two-Level Entertaining
The new deck structure allowed us to create two areas for entertaining. We constructed a cedar cabinet with granite counter which also concealed the mechanics on the back of the house. It created additional storage as well as additional prep/serving space for food.
Bar & Pergola
The bar area is perfect for mingling with guests while the host fires up the grill. A rough sawn cedar pergola was designed to provide relief from mid-day sun, complete with recessed and copper pendant LED lighting for taking the party from day to night.
Paver Patio
Initially, we were going to replace some mismatched pavers and handle the rest next year in phase II. That idea was quickly scrapped and we ended up redoing the entire paver patio! In addition, we removed a mature tree, retaining walls, and planting bed on the pool deck. We expanded an existing seatwall and lighting and reconfigured and updated two existing steps and stoops for greater functionality.
