We added a paver patio to make space for the outdoor kitchen and lounge area. This space is functional and gorgeous. The are various areas to hang out and enjoy the outdoors. A separate lounge area is a great place to relax after a long day. There is also a dining space to enjoy a meal outdoors. The pavers are continued throughout the complete project to create a sense of continuity. The pavers are sealed to withstand the elements and stay beautiful looking for many years.
We used the Unilock Brussel block paver to create a new multi-level, multi-functional patio space to promote relaxation. Patterning in pavers helped define spaces and seat walls were incorporated to act as a railing and additional overflow seating on the lounge area of the upper patio.
Great Oaks did an excellent job designing and implementing two big projects for us. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
Stone Fire Pit
What’s better than gathering around the fire pit on a crisp fall day? We constructed this fire pit using Eden stone veneer and Indiana Limestone copings with rockfaced edges. The result? A beautiful focal point of this Northbrook backyard.
Can you believe this yard wouldn’t grow grass because of large shade tree root systems before we got our hands on it? We added a new section of plantings that are appropriate for Chicago winters and that don’t require a green thumb to survive. What’s not to love?
